Maintain high performance
Care guidelines
General maintenance
- Inspect for wear, and reapply protective treatments to timber external surfaces every 1-2 years to prevent decay.
- Keep roof and trim seals clear of debris, including leaves and dirt buildup.
- Regularly clear the sub-frame of leaves and other debris.
- Clean external cladding annually using mild soap and water
Doors and windows
- Check and adjust door and window mechanisms as needed
- Apply lubricant to hinges and locks periodically to maintain smooth operation.
Roofing
- Inspect the roofing annually for any signs of damage. Remove any overhanging branches that may impact the roof.
Ventilation
- Ensure proper ventilation to avoid condensation. Regularly open windows and doors, and use the air trickle vents fitted to doors and windows when unit is in use.
Timber care
- Expect natural expansion and contraction of timber due to seasonal changes. This is a normal process and does not affect the structural integrity.
Base and foundations
- Ensure the base remains stable. If any shifting occurs, seek professional advice on levelling the structure.
Electrical Components
- Have all electrical components inspected periodically. Replace fuses, bulbs, or fixtures as needed after the 2-year warranty period.
Base and foundations
- Ensure no large trees grow too close to the unit, as root systems can disturb the base. If trees overhang the structure, regularly inspect and clean the roof to prevent damage.
